Escudo is proud to announce that professional boxer and English Cruiserweight Champion John Hedges has joined the brand as an official ambassador.

Known for his discipline, technical ability and rising presence in British boxing, Hedges embodies the qualities that define Escudo — precision, resilience and dedication to one’s craft.

A key influence in Hedges’ career was his mentor and trainer, legendary British boxer Ricky Hatton, who played a pivotal role in helping refine and transform his style inside the ring. Under Hatton’s guidance, Hedges developed the composure and technical approach that has helped him rise through the ranks of the cruiserweight division.

Following the tragic passing of Hatton in late 2025, Hedges dedicated his subsequent English title fight to his former trainer, honouring him with tribute gear worn in the ring. The victory became a deeply personal moment in his career and a reflection of the respect he continues to hold for his mentor.
